I had the amazing privilege of attending Chowan University for four, fun-filled years! I want to share a little about my experience while attending Chowan before encouraging my fellow Chowan Alumni to participate in Chowan’s Giving Day.
When I arrived on campus, I was nervous and unsure. I was recruited as a Defensive Specialist for Chowan’s volleyball team, so I arrived on campus a couple weeks before the first day of classes for preseason. I quickly discovered that team camaraderie is a powerful thing…and my teammates were so awesome in so many ways throughout my time at Chowan.
During my years at Chowan, I had such an amazing time getting to know my roomie (whom I roomed with for all four years), attending classes, making friends, cheering on other sports teams, all our crazy dorm room gatherings (in Belk and Jenkins), and various squirrel park adventures.
It’s hard to choose my favorite memory while attending Chowan because I have so many great memories to choose from! I’ve made life-long friendships while at Chowan, and I wouldn’t trade my time there for the world. That’s why I am participating in Chowan’s Giving Day.
